Smart Chemical Solutions is pleased to announce the acquisition of Polymer Technologies, effective November 1, 2026. Polymer Technologies becomes the third business unit in the Smart Chemical Solutions family. It joins Smart Chemical Services and Genesis Custom Chemical Blending.
Helping operators recover more oil and produce less water
Polymer Technologies helps oil and gas operators recover more oil and produce less water using gel and polymer chemistries. Their team handles the whole job, from reservoir diagnosis and treatment design to automated pumping and on-site field crews. They serve customers across the United States and Canada, with a focus on enhanced oil recovery and conformance.
Same team, same service, more strength behind it
The business will now operate as Polymer Technologies, a Smart Chemical Solutions Company. Randy Prater will continue to lead the business as President. He will be joined by Tristan Houser, VP of Operations, and Daniel French, VP of Business Development.
Customers will keep working with the same people and receive the same service. Like Smart Chemical Services and Genesis, Polymer Technologies is now supported by Smart Chemical Solutions’ shared teams. Those teams include plants and laboratories, supply chain, safety (HSE), finance, HR, IT, legal and marketing.
